Lenten Schedule

The 2025 Lenten Midweek Series will focus on "Good News from the Beginning: The Gospel in Genesis". We are having cookie fellowship after each midweek Lenten service, beginning with Ash Wednesday. Trinity members are asked to bring one dozen cookies to the church kitchen before 5:30 pm on the Wednesday under which your name is listed below.

Lenten Devotions

In Servant of the Lord, we see Jesus teaching His disciples and healing the sick and hurting who followed Him. We see Him enduring the scorn of the Jews who mocked Him and the brutality of the Romans who crucified Him. And we see Him display the love of God - a love that took our sins upon Himself even unto death, so that we might be raised to life through the power of His resurrection. Copies are available on the table below the screen in Room 10. Please pick up a copy!

Easter Lillies

In celebration of our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ, we decorate our sanctuary with Easter lilies. The cost is $15.00 per plant. Please return the form found in the March Newsletter and money for the lily in your offering envelope marking it “Easter Lily.” Deadline to order is April 13th.

Palm Sunday Processional

Sunday, April 13

On Palm Sunday we will have a Palm Sunday Processional, beginning at the Pekin Public Library and processing to the church. We will meet at the Pekin Public Library at 8:30 a.m., distribute the Palms and proceed to the church for Palm Sunday worship! If there is inclement weather, we will meet at the church in the Fellowship Hall.

Easter Breakfast

The Board of Elders will host an Easter breakfast, Sunday, April 20 at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast includes egg casserole, pastries, coffee and juice.

GSLS Auction

“Down on the Farm with Ewe” is coming fast! Please get in your reservations soon! The auction will be held on March 29, 2025 at the Embassy Suites in East Peoria. All forms are due by March 14. Please remember to bring Cash Only for the bead game and the purse game with new GSLS logo tote bags! Can't wait to see you at the Embassy Suites!

2025 Flower Chart

The 2025 flower chart is up on the bulletin board in the hallway by the 4th Street entrance. Simply sign your name by the date you wish to donate flowers. A form will be sent to you when your date is near. Dates are chosen on a first come first serve basis.

A Dollar for Missions
