The Giving Tree
This project began in 1976 at Trinity Lutheran Church. At that time we distributed hats, mittens and scarves to needy children at Jefferson School. We have since grown to serve Pekin District 108 preschool thru 6th grade schools, Schramm Educatioanl Center, and Good Sheperd Lutheran School. Children in need are given new winter coats, hats, and gloves/mittens. The Giving Tree is a project of the Board of Christian Service and the Board of Evangelism . With the help of this group and the donations of others, an average of 215 children are helped each year. Learn more...
Bibles for Prisons
In recent years, Trinity has provided Bibles for prison inmates use. Interest income from Trinity’s Endowment Fund provided the necessary dollars to purchase the Bibles.
